As opposition is nearing Mars is about as big as it is going to get for taking pictures. I finally got my Svbony SV305 astrocam working (sort of) with Sharpcap. Not entirely there yet. The picture was taken at prime focus and 4000 frames stacked. Need to buy an extra external hard drive because the short 4-minute video got cut short as I ran out of space (The file was 8GB).
National Geographic has a cool map of Mars, comparing it to my picture it looks pretty good! https://www.nationalgeographic.org/hires/mars/#mars
My picture is slightly tilted and rotated compared to the NGC map. The southern icecap and darker regions are clearly visible.
You can also compare it with my first attempt at Mars (https://flyerone.space/first-look-at-mars/). This one was taken with a Canon DSLR and a variable projection eyepiece. This causes the image to become inverted!
